1. Agreement

By accessing or using gpacalculating.com (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please stop using the Site.

2. Service description

The Site provides free GPA calculators and educational reference content. The calculators run entirely in your browser; we do not offer accounts, paid subscriptions, or transcript-evaluation services.

3. Permitted use

You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You may not:

  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, spiders) to access the Site at a rate that would impair availability for other users.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code beyond what is publicly served by your browser.
  • Republish, mirror, or redistribute the Site\u2019s content as part of a competing service.
  • Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or infringes intellectual-property rights.

4. No advice — informational only

The calculators are mathematical tools. The Site does not provide academic, financial, immigration, or admissions advice. Always confirm your GPA with your school\u2019s registrar before relying on it for a transcript, scholarship, or formal application. Different institutions apply different scales and rounding rules; results from this Site are estimates, not official transcripts.

5. Intellectual property

The Site\u2019s name, design, copy, code, and visual assets are owned by GPA Calculating and protected by copyright and trademark law. The text-based reference tables (grade scales, scale conversions) describe widely available public information and are reproduced for educational purposes; trademark notices for any third-party scales (IB®, AP®, College Board®) belong to their respective owners.

6. User-generated content

The Site does not currently accept user-generated content (no comments, no forum, no profile uploads). If we add such features in the future, separate community guidelines will apply.

7. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND ITS TOOLS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GPA Calculating, its operators, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site, including but not limited to lost academic opportunities, missed admissions deadlines, or scholarship decisions made on the basis of an incorrect calculation. Always verify with your school.

9. Third-party links

The Site contains links to external resources. Those sites are independently operated and we are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.

10. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on the homepage for at least 30 days. Continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Site\u2019s operator resides, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions.
